Metal Check is a software to assist in the checking and design of metallic elements in accordance with the requirements of ABNT NBR 8800.
Atualmente, o Metal Check está preparado para analisar os seguintes elementos:
- Vigas em aço;
- Vigas mistas de aço e concreto;
- Pilares em aço.
Compatible cross sections are the most common on the market: W/HP, CS, CVS and VS. Such profile families are previously registered in the program, however, nothing prevents the user from creating a personalized I profile (welded), including different thicknesses for the upper and lower tables.
The main checks carried out by Metal Check are as follows:
- Deslocamentos (no caso de vigas mistas, considera efeito construtivo);
- Momento fletor (plástico ou elástico, o que for aplicável);
- Força cortante (com possíveis enrijecedores de alma);
- Força normal de compressão*;
- Interação N, Mx, My*;
- Quantidade de conectores em vigas mistas (interação completa ou parcial);
- Armadura de costura em vigas mistas.
The checks are presented in a modern and intuitive interface, showing only the checks that apply to the analyzed element. It is possible to select a check to view its intermediate results (important variables, graphs, etc.).
The static models for obtaining internal forces on the elements are: bi-supported bar, cantilever bar, bi-fixed bar and fixed-supported bar. All loads are modeled by direction (vertical and lateral *).
At the end of the design, it is possible to issue a report of all bars in .RTF format, compatible with MS Word® and WordPad®.
Currently, Metal Check works independently from TQS.
