If you are an engineer and talented developer and have an application to increase the productivity of other structural engineers, you can apply for distribution of it through the TQS Store®. Applications can be used independently of TQS® or even installed with TQS®, allowing better integration with the user buildings designs.

TQS Informática Ltda provides an application program interface (API) designed to enable users and application developers to integrate their applications with TQS Store® and TQS®. Within the TQS® SDK, along with the API, a sales licensing process is made available through the TQS Store®.

The use of distribution licenses reduces the risk of the application being copied without authorization, allowing the possibility of selling and making money for the developer.

What can I do with the TQS® SDK?

Next are shown several possibilities of SDK use for apps creation:

Creation of applications fully independent of the TQS®. These applications make simple or complex calculations that do not depend on the data structure of a building. An example for this type of application is a rectangular section reinforcement calculation calculator or precast element lifting hooks;

Creation of apps that are slightly integrated with the TQS®. These applications can do simple or complex calculations, but use part of TQS® for calculation or presentation of results. It is possible, for example, to present drawings through the TQS® graphic editor, create DWG reinforcement designs (TQS standard), process complex frame model, etc.;

Creation of apps fully integrated with the TQS®. These applications depend on the data structure of TQS buildings, and can access much of this structure. It is possible, for example, to re-dimension a beam with the data obtained from the building's frame model, or to create a new structural element that obtain the results of stresses for its design.

In the case of apps fully integrated with the TQS®, it is highly recommended that the programmer be familiar with the TQS®, its work methodology and its resources before try to use the API.

What do I need to start?

The following item are necessary to develop apps with the TQS® SDK

Know some of the languages of the base applications. For now we have versions of the base application in C #, C ++ (both with Visual Studio 2013 projects) and Visual Basic 6. The use of other languages is possible, but requires the developer greater programming knowledge;

MS Visual Studio 2013 (the version Express may be used)

TQS® SDK Installation;
